BAGUMBAYAN
Not the place but the cookie.
I dropped by Gaisano Mall grocery yesterday to buy a can of formula milk for my son, I picked up some munchers too, when I overheard someone saying…Oh my, this cookie still exist? I looked at what he’s holding and saw this Bagumbayan cookie. I too was surprised this cookies economy has survived until this very day. I remember my grandmother at my mom’s side used to buy this kind of chewy, too firm cookie during my childhood days. She will put it in a tin can and dip it in sock-strained native coffee every morning.
The color actually did not change; even the taste and the texture, it’s still gummy and hard. My son said, mom you’ve survived eating this, I can’t believe it… Geeeh! This cookie was heaven before! I wonder why the piping is colored pink, can’t answer it either. Indeed that man saves my post for today.
